Programmer

Trillium Professional is now seeking a Programmer in Dimondale!

This position will provide maintenance and support for clients/server and some Web-based systems. The position will learn to provide the necessary programming skills using Client/Server IDE (interactive development environment) tools to maintain and support production systems. This position will also migrate and upgrade selected systems from a client/server environment to a Web-based environment. This position may also be involved in new development, maintenance and enhancements which would encompass testing, implementation, and support.  The employee performs a complete range of assignments including, but not limited to, assisting in requirement gathering, test plans, document applications for company Projects.  This individual will provide technical support to other team members and evaluate new development tools and agency systems. 

Job duties:
-Monitor new technologies, methodologies, and trends.
-Maintain and update technical and managerial skills.
-Attend classes, seminars, and user groups to retain/improve knowledge and skills.
-Share news and knowledge with unit staff.
-Maintain and develop knowledge and skills in technical management, including team building, teamwork, and career development.
-Manage or serve on special projects or evaluation committees as assigned.
-Assist Senior Management in establishing and ensuring a professional workplace environment.
-Must be able to perform secure coding and release management.
-Must be able to perform development on internal and external applications.
-Must be able to perform real-time and web development.
-Develop applications in C#, .NET, Java, and JavaScript.
-Must be able to successfully work independently.
-Must be proficient and experienced at writing and modifying system documentation.
-Provide clear communication both verbally and in writing.
-Must be able to clearly explain technical information to both technical and non-technical individuals.  
-Must be able to assist in the gathering of requirements (traditional waterfall and agile) for all IT solutions and be able to develop the application requested from the requirements.
-Validate and finalize local and enterprise change documents.
-Ensure proper change management for all requested fixes to production systems.
-Ensure proper change management for all requested changes to system designs and system architecture standards are documented.
-Validate test data and test results during development.
-Differentiate between defects and new requirements and initiate change requests as necessary.
-Develop and monitor defect tracking logs and facilitate problem resolution.

Skills: 
-Bachelor’s degree required
-Candidates must have 5+ years’ developer experience.
-Develop applications in C#, .NET, Java, and JavaScript.
-Must be able to perform secure coding and release management.
-Must be able to perform development on internal and external applications.
-Must be able to perform real-time and web development.
-Must be able to assist in the gathering of requirements (traditional waterfall and agile) for all IT solutions.
-Must be proficient and experienced at writing and modifying system documentation.
-Ability to lead meetings.
-Clear communication, follow-up, ability to write detailed technical design documents.
-Must have experience and knowledge of project/work estimation and ability to provide estimates for when their part of the work will be done, knows data capture software, etc.
-Must be able to clearly explain technical information to both technical and non-technical individuals (written and verbal communication skills)
